We at Shooters of Columbus believe one never stops learning. We offer a variety of classes and one-on-one instruction to help further your education on firearms.
We currently offer two classes:
Handgun Introduction:
This class is designed for those who are new to handguns. We will go over all safety rules, how a handgun works, the action of a gun, and how to shoot a gun. Once you have learned the fundamentals, we will go to the range for a chance to practice your new skills. You will be one on one with an instructor while on the range. The cost is $65 and includes gun rental and ammo. You may bring your own gun if you wish to use it (If you have an uncommon caliber please make sure the instructor has ammo ahead of time or bring your own ammo). Class space is limited so be sure to sign up ahead of time to reserve your spot.
- Ladies only classes are the second Monday of every month. To see available times and dates, see the calendar below.
- Co-Ed classes are held the first Saturday and third Monday of every month. To see available times and dates look at calendar below.
Cost: $65
Length: 2.5 Hours-3 Hours (dependent on class size and interaction)
Prerequisites: An open mind and close-toed shoes.
Required Gear: Comfortable clothes and shoes. Personal handgun if you own one, otherwise we will provide firearms, ammunition, target, eye and ear protection.
Intermediate Handgun
- Held the third Saturday of every month. You must take one of the Handgun Introduction classes before this class. To see available times and dates, see calendar below.
Learn to use sights to shoot your gun with proper sight alignment and proper sight picture. Learn to shoot targets at 5 and 7 yards. Learn ways to practice at home to improve sight alignment and sight picture before coming to the range.
Cost: $65
Length: 2.5-3 hours
Level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: Completion of Handgun Introduction class (Ladies only or Co-ed), an open mind, and close-toed shoes.
Required Gear: Comfortable clothes and shoes. At least 30 rounds of ammunition is also required. Personal handgun if you own one, otherwise we will provide firearms and targets
You must sign up and pay for the class no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled class time.
*If you need to reschedule, please make sure to do so at least 24 hours in advance or you may lose your deposit.
If you need a certificate of completion for your job, please let us know prior to the class; at least 48 hours. This will give us time to create the certificate and have the right people sign it. If you wait till the day of the class, we cannot guarantee same day delivery of the certificate.
